Healthy Hair Rinse for Naturally Beautiful Hair
I had forgotten how much I love using apple cider vinegar (ACV) as a hair rinse. It helps add shine to the hair as well as clearing residue from hair products. I don’t use a lot of hair products actually, but my hair always seems to feel softer and look shinier after I’ve used an ACV hair rinse.
I made up a fresh batch of ACV hair rinse this morning, but I added two drops of Rosemary essential oil to it. I love the smell and Rosemary essential oil has traditionally been used to help combat hair loss and stimulate the scalp. I’ve also read about steeping dried rosemary and using it as a hair rinse for dark hair, to bring out its natural warmth and depth.
Rosemary stimulates the memory and opens the conscious mind. What a great choice for applying to our scalp!
Healthy Hair Rinse with ACV and Rosemary essential oil
Ingredients:
10 mL apple cider vinegar
110 mL distilled water
2 drops Rosemary essential oil
Instructions:
Shake together in a plastic bottle, and apply the mixture to your hair and scalp, after shampooing and conditioning. Rinse with cool water.
Notes: You could make a larger batch using the same ratios! It will keep for several days and I usually make a fresh batch each week.
