Carmelized Onion & Dill Yogurt Dip

Carmelized onions and dill essential oil in a lemony mayo and yogurt dip – quick, easy, delicious!

1 onion, sliced into rings
1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 scallion, green part only, sliced
1 cup plain yogurt
2 drops dill essential oil
salt and pepper to taste


In a pan over medium-low heat, saute onions in olive oil until onions are brown and carmelized. The trick here is to go “low and slow” and don’t let it burn! Keep an eye on it.

Allow the onions to cool while you combine the remaining ingredients. Once the onions are cool, add them and stir everything well.

Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for an hour so the flavors can meld.

Serve with cut up veggies, crackers, or chips. Enjoy!
